In Ancient Greece there was so many mountains separating different parts of Greece. So they developed city-states and different governments. The people of Ancient Greece believed differently. A city-state called Athens believed that education and art is very important. Their government was a democracy. Another city-state called Sparta believed that military service is very important. Their government was an oligarchy.
